35

We celebrated Damian's 35th birthday today!  He started out his day getting to sleep in because his professor was sick.  That was a wonderful way to begin.  Wednesday is his early out day and today the school provided a Thanksgiving-type lunch.  We, with the exception of Clara, were able to go and partake as well.  The kids and I colored and Happy Birthday banner and put up purple streamers.  Clara created a lovely birthday card.  Some of Damian's school friends brought cupcakes for him.  I made (for the first time) eclairs, or as know them, cream puffs.  They turned out really well!

Reduse, Reuse, Resweater

Here is another blog post about my shop.  This blog is all about what one can do with old wool sweaters.  Very cool!

Treasuries

On Etsy there is a feature called Treasuries.  Here sellers curate their own treasury with a theme and items that they like.  I have been in several recently. Here is the most recent one that one of my items has been featured in.

Anniversary

Today is my 1 year anniversary of selling on Etsy!  Even though it was out of desperation at the time, I'm so glad I took the plunge and stuck with it.   I've learned so much since I've been selling and continue to gain new wisdom all the time.  I plan to have another great and successful year!

Happy Birthday

Though a very ordinary day, I celebrated my birthday with pumpkin cake, hand drawn posters from Damian and the kids, and a great massage from Clara.  Do you like my custom made party hat (made by Clara)?

Blog Features

Apparently this is my week for being featured in blogs.
I submitted Damian's roasted pumpkin seeds recipe to the EtsyBaby Blog. You can see that here . Also, on that blog they show which members are having birthdays, so I got in on that as well.
Yesterday, a blog called Reclaimed Threads put one of my listings in her blog post. You can check that out here .
And today I am featured on a UK blog called Green Familia. You can find that here .
Thanks for supporting me in my endeavors!

Halloween

Our friends, Micah and Sarah Blalock, from church invited us for trick or treating in their neighborhood in Coppell as they did last Halloween. We had a good time eating supper, trick or treating, enjoying their pets (the dog has a lobster costume) and playing in their costume box. Ollie was finished trick or treating as soon as it got a little dark. Clara and Ollie had a great time handing out candy to others once we returned to the house. Check out the lovely blooming rose bushes surrounding their front door. They smelled SO GOOD!
